They seek real time software engineers with hardware knowledge or appreciation to work in small project teams working on developing new and enhancing products for the commercial marine applications markets.

radar_displayThe salaries for these positions are negotiable, depending on experience, but will probably be in the region £25K to £30K. Travel: May be required, UK & abroad, including overnight stays. Hours: 08:15 - 17:00 - Monday to Thursday 08:15 - 13:00 - Friday (36.75 hrs) Other Aspects Willing to work additional hours as and when required. Clean driving licence.

skills & key experience

Proficient in the use of real time embedded C, C++ Assembler Experience of real time control of small DC motors would be an advantage. Knowledge/Skills Able to demonstrate software design spower boatkills based on structured techniques eg Yourdon. Able to work to ISO 9001 TickIt standards would be an advantage . Able to use CASE tool and work within a document and version controlled environment. Knowledge of hardware design skills would be an advantage. Must be able to design in a multi-disciplined team environment (team worker with good communication skills) Proficient in the use of PC and be able to use Windows and DOS environments (Word, Excel etc.).

This is more than just a programming job so a keen commitment to solving problems at both system and software level is required.
